Paddy Power are tipping Kevin De Bruyne to score first against Liverpool

It’s Man City v Liverpool in the Saturday teatime match this week, a fixture with lots of history. Most of the media attention will be focussed on Raheem Sterling, with Liverpool fans still upset over his summer move to City. However, in their latest blog post, Paddy Power are predicting that it will be Kevin De Bruyne that will steal the show at the Etihad.

De Bruyne has been excellent this season since his big money transfer. He has 8 goals in his last 14 games overall, so you wouldn’t want to bet against him getting another against a Liverpool defence that has looked suspect at times.

The stats suggest that the most likely final score is 2-0 to City, and that KDB is a great bet to score first at 6/1. That sounds like a decent bet but we feel that the odds are too short, so if you’re going to bet on this (or any other City match) you should look at enhanced odds offers on City which give you much bigger winnings.

If you’re looking for a safer bet at lower odds, Paddy Power are suggesting City to win to nil at 15/8 or backing “no” in the both teams to score market, at 11/10. Both sound like good bets to us (although obviously we’re biased a bit) but you’re not going to get rich at those odds.

There is a way to get richer if you don’t have a Paddy Power account though. Like most online bookies, there’s a nice new customer offer at Paddy Power of a £30 free bet when you sign up and bet £10.

We’re really looking forward to the match, it should be an open and attacking affair and hopefully City can continue their recent good form and consolidate their position at the top of the league. Come on you blues!
